Our elementary schools deliver the best in public education. Continuing to do so requires the highest standards of excellence and relentless fiscal discipline. My experience in finance, business and nonprofit management makes me a voice for sound decisions. As the mother of three children who attend or graduated from DMUSD, quality education is at the heart of every vote.

In Del Mar and Carmel Valley, our top-notch schools form the core of the community and support strong property values. As Board President, my focus has been responsible budgeting and strategic resource allocation to ensure low class sizes, the best teachers and a rigorous curriculum that reaches every child.

My career spans positions with top entities in education reform, public affairs, finance and management. Before joining the Board in 2015, I had a career advising major corporations on strategic transactions and was PTA President. Now I help run an organization that supports San Diego nonprofits with pro bono consulting and grants. I have volunteered in our classrooms for nine years. I hold a Finance MBA from Columbia Business School and Journalism BA from UNC.

Please help me continue to put educational excellence first and ensure we as taxpayers get the full value of our investment.

In my tenure as a board member, DMUSD has adopted fiscally responsible measures while providing exceptional teaching to all children, including creating a Spanish immersion program. I will prioritize ensuring the health and safety of our students and staff, supporting parents, and clear communication.

Born and raised in San Diego as the son of immigrants, I was taught to appreciate the value of education. I treasure DMUSD’s excellent academics, but equally important is a focus on developing students of good character who are socially aware and will advance the world.

With a background as an attorney, I have helped guide the district through complex issues. I have also worked diligently to foster relationships within the community.

As a homeowner and parent to a 1st-grader and a 1-year old, I am dedicated to the long-term success of this district and the community which it serves. I would be honored to have your vote.
